If I have stepped on anyone's political toes, OOPS! Oh well.

Same facts but opposite conclusions. Here's a set of thoughts comparing the overseas messes of the past decade or so and placing them in a somewhat clearer, but still confusing, light.

I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in my head so I'll know how to vote come November. Right now, we have one guy saying one thing. Then the other guy says something else. Who to believe. Lemme see, have I got this straight?

They've got an interesting position to defend. No wonder the focus is on hair.

Yeah, I've seen in the media this week where some of the infobabes and soccer moms are all fawning over the good looks of little John now that he's the pick. Especially his hair.

I remember laughing (at the time) over a commentary by Mike Royko (may he rest in peace) back in 92. You'll recall he wrote a great column that was syndicated out of the Chicago Tribune. He was conservative before conservative was cool, and he was caustically funny. Anyway, when all the Democratic dwarfs were trying to get the nomination he predicted that one Bill Clinton, the unheard of governor of Arkansas, would win the nomination. He said it was because liberals would pick whoever had the best hair. How true it was.

Here we go again.

i remember during the original clinton/gore campaign. a co-worker was voting for clinton because she thought gore was so good looking. it's a little scary to know how some citizens base their voting decisions.

That's the reason that my wife says that women shouldn't even have the right to vote. Sometimes I'm inclined to agree with her (although I usually argue anyway). Before you wimmin start in on me now, be sure to read the bold text again. That is her idea, not mine.
