Sales barns north/north east Texas

Got a few pairs and I am fixing to sale. Last few years took them to Pilot Point sale and did pretty good, better than I tought I could at Emory. Though I usually haul my calves to Emory.

But I been hearing how Pilot Point has had very small numbers going through the sale and what I heard about pair prices did not seem to be that good. Like the operation at Pilot Point real nice guy etc.

What sale barn do you feel has the best price for pairs? Some said Bonham was doing pretty good but did not hear any sale numbers on them.

I personally like Emory, but that's mainly due to location. Prices at Buffalo sometimes run a little better, but it's twice as far to haul for me. Both sell on Saturday. With all of the sale barns around our neck of the woods, it doesn't seem like there could be too much difference in prices.

I use Van Zandt County Livestock Auction. Sale is on Saturday. Usually has a good stocker cow market.

You might try the sale in Decatur if it's not too far a haul. Last week (3-5-07) pairs were $770-$1025. They sell on Mondays.

Theres also Gainesville on Friday and Bowie on Saturdays.

if they are pretty good pairs.you can do well at emory.esp of mcshane is there an they are his kind of cattle.because if he wants them he will pay for them.
