There should be plenty of breeders still using progeny sires with GHR genetics. Look thru the many sales brochures mentioning those genetics.
'Dilute'? Probably but those breeders can most likely point you in the right direction.

New to the cattle world, currently have 2 registered Hereford heifers. I've recently discovered our small farm is part of what use to be the historical Gollihar Hereford Ranch in Whitney Texas.
I'm on a journey to bring back some of the original Gollihar genetics. A gentlemen at the American Hereford Association has helped by finding some of the family tree of Gollihars genetics.
Was wondering if anyone here knew of any of the Gollihar Hereford Ranch history.
Hoping to learn so much more. My first important item to learn is shots. What shots to give & when.

Welcome to Cattle Today. I applaud your effort and wish you luck in tracing back bloodlines from 70 to 80 years ago. The Hereford Association website has an animal search function if you have a registration number. You can look for progeny and work forward to present time.
