Its still so hard to tell where exactly it will hit. Rita is wobbling around so much and it seems like it started to shift to the right this morning, but now they think it is just a wobble. Cant tell for a good 6 hours after it moves. Rita is expanding now too. They explained it really well on the news here in Houston. A hurricane is like an ice skater doing a spin. You gain the most power and force when you wrap your arms in real tight and spin faster. As your arms spread out more, you lose some of that power. They also explained it like a runner. You can only run full strength for a short amount of time until you get tired and slow down. A hurricane will hit its peak then slow down some. As they get stronger, the bands wrap tighter and spin faster. When it weakens, the bands spread out and spin slower.
