Ringworm in 6 week old isolated calf group.

Help Support CattleToday:

yes, that's ringworm.

I'd let it run its course. They're immune once they've had it.
My heifers (about 18 months old) are the worst I've seen in years, warts too, and there's a few lesions starting in the six month old calves... not sure where it would have come from as this is the third year on the farm and previous groups haven't had it. So I suspect it may be somewhat weather/stress related also.
If the lesions start spreading all over, maybe talk to the vet about treatments. But for most animals it's one or two scabby bits, clears up in a month or four and they never get it again.
