I agree. I raise both and the cross breeds perform better for me in this situation.
 
We put our gals ...Angus & Herf and a few cross under a Lim bull this year. Looking forward to calving. Of course, we sell lean red meat and not hides so the coloring isn't real important to us. Yield is.

what would be the easiest and more profitable to do this in SE Missouri....Black Angus or Hereford?
As for easiest, you could probably find Hereford steers easier and cheaper to buy.
But the Black Angus are the most profitable at resale as they are the ones in the most demand.
