what does it mean when you say :???: : often used as "a terminal cross and club calf sire". i used it in a paper i wrote for my animal science project on maine-anjou's (which i did cite, dont worry, no plagurism). i was just wondering what it meant. I am a beginner when it comes to the live stock world and i want to learn more about the breeds. thank you. :cboy:

A terminal cross is generally considred those that have exceptional carcass traits, it may be yeield or quality grade, but still exceptional. They're considreed to have poor maternal traits/abilities.
Club Calf is the types of sires used to generate "Show Steers", and I guess heifers, but not generally those that fit the mainstream of beef production.
