Several years ago we had a cow that was about 8 months preg. split out on slick concrete. We tied her legs togeather and worked with her for few days. The vet said we should put her under. So I got up in the middle of the night to do it, I didn't want anyone around. The cow died instantly but that calf inside of her fought for life for what seemed to be a long time. It was hard to watch.

I made up my mind right then as long as there was any hope I would try. Won some lost a lot. Its part of the business.
