To me, on that one photo, the heifer doesnt look that bad for having just calved. I'm sure she's being looked after well and will poke along just fine with the calf. Congrats on the new calf.

Thanks jilleroo, Iso and everyone. She is doing good. She is giving plenty of milk and the calf is doing good. Thank you all for your advice.

I agree with a lot of people on here. Like Isomade said too that she is part longhorn. I have been around longhorns that were a friend of mine. Some look scary after calving. I used to tease him about them. I'm used to fat cattle lol. He would always have feed and supplements just to give them a boost and they were fine. If she were mine I would give her a boost with the feed and what not and see how she does. I'm sure you are giving her and the calf the best care. Congrats on the calf and keep us updated on she is doing.
