New calf...How long?

Had a heifer calve this am.Calf was born 2 hours ago but has not yet nursed.Calf has been up a few times but the heifer is so intent on licking him he cant find her teat.
If he doesnt nurse really quick what should I do?

You might have to put mama in the chute and show baby where the milk is. Or, if you can, milk the colostrum out of mama and bottle feed the baby. And, if that doesn't work, go buy some dried colostrum and get it down the baby.

I don't think 2 hours is a long time...but I wouldn't let it go much longer. That baby needs colostrum.
