:I'd say he's looking great for being on that many of head :)
I guess so. :) He now already have put on some weight. Looked skinnier after spring. Hope that will be able to keep him away from cows for the next winter that he could have some rest.

Cattle look good. What's with the 15/16 white face bull calf "sharing" his milk supply with two other calves???
Stealing. As well as heifer with white sides. The real calf is the red heifer standing next to the cow. His dam has a pretty small udder, so this boy searches for extra milk. Hopefully she'll improve later or will need to cull her. White sided heifer doesn't have her real mother in the herd, so she has to live from other cows.

Looks like a nice bull, good muscling. You have some nice muscled females so hope you get some crackerjack calves from him.
Thank you. Our cows which has the best calves will calve from him only next year, so it'll be interesting to see.

Tiny new heifer. Very small, ~70lbs. Dam is 1/2Angus, 1/4Salers, 1/4dairy, 4th calver. Waited for one more calf. :) Last year she had twin bull calves.

Minutes after birth. Cow was quite sensitive after birth, but not as much as you couldn't tag a calf.

Cow's daughter by another bull is due to calve with her first calf in September-October.

New arrivals today. Twin heifers from the 3rd calver. Truly a nice view. She has a fairly good udder and is in a good condition, so won't give any meal for now. Cows should graze only fresh grass until winter.
Cow is sired by homebred AngusxCharolaisx bull, out of 1/4(Angus, Belgian blue, Salers, dairy) cow.

Another 7/8Limo heifer. Light rear, but very thick body. Her dam has weak rear too. Good friendly personality and should be the heaviest weaned heifer this year. Future replacement too. March born.

It looks that with colder weather gestations got longer and calves- bigger. Have one heifer on 292nd day today. Hopefully she'll calve VERY soon and with a normal calf.

Things don't look good. Heifer is calving today. 293 days gestation... Calving since afternoon. Only hooves comes out. Big hooves. Heifer doesn't want us close. It's going to be a long night... Wish us luck...

Big dead bull calf... 112.4lbs. Luckily, heifer is fine, stood up after some rest and walked normally after pulling the calf out with the calving jack. She still needs her calf. Saw her walking in the pasture today and calling for the calf.
It was quite a job to catch her in the field and it's dark already. After finally managed to do that tied her to the tree and checked if calf goes normally. Found a head in the birth canal, so everything was okay. Not a very easy pull with a jack too. Went to sleeps after work at 4am.
Big boned calf for a heifer, not a good thing. Well, atleast she's fine and will be able to have another calf next year. We'll pull our bull from the herd soon and will start AI'ing some girls, so this heifer will be for AI too..
It's the first calf we lost from this bull. If heifer let us help her sooner calf would have been alive and she'd have been a happy new mom.
Her dam had ~77lbs heifer calf by the same bull in august.
