Here's a purebred Hereford cow with her 5th calf. Calf was born early yesterday.
The calf is somewhat linebred, the sire of the cow is the maternal grandsire of the bull the calf is by.

My cows are mostly bred back in a line to a couple of cows I owned 38 and 20 years ago respectfully. I have always purchased my bulls so no inbreeding there. The sheep are descended from those my daughters showed in 4H some 15 to 20 years ago. I do occasionally keep back a ram lamb and use him to an extent, thus I have some inbreeding among them but have never found it a problem. In fact some of my best lambs come from that method.
