I need to speed up moving hay out of about 20 acres that I have to cross a ditch/waterway. We have it sloped about as much as possible but a gooseneck trailer drags bad. What do you think would work better, a 4 wheel type farm wagon or a cheap trailer with a straight deck thats sits higher?

Found the trailer in pic below that sits high or even a 4 wheel wagon with flat instead of the one with the bale bed.

Only hauling it about a half mile but 2 on the tracotr and 3 in a small trailer I have now is a slow process.

We use hay racks ( 4 wheel farm trailer). We built a 20'L x 9'w that we haul 8 at a time. Then I built two 18'L x 8.5" a that I pull together. I can put six on each one, so 12 at a time. Saves a lot on time. Compared to 2 at a time. We pull them with a tractor, but could pull them with the pick-up if need be.

Any oil field pipe in your area? be pretty easy to make a cheap bridge from pipe. We deck them with old 210 tank metal instead of wood. Noisy, but they'll be around for my grandkids who aren't even born yet.

4 wheel wagon should do what you want. I would say whats in the pic from what I can see is worth $1800 no problem. If it doesnt work or your access to the property changes you can use it elsewhere or sell and recoup the money. Couldn't put 2 18" culverts in for the price of the wagon.
