That's why I use just regular bunk troughs for salt and mineral. When we rotate pastures I throw a rope around a leg and drag it with the truck or mule. We don't have a tractor at every property. I can daisy chain quite a few bunks in a row and take off.
Are the bunks covered? I like the style I use to keep weather off the minerals..

No I just put a little in at a time to keep waste down. Probably not an option for every one. We don't go thru a lot of mineral any way... mainly salt.

Cheap, easy and works great. This feeder is 10 years old and shows no signs of wear.

I have built several of these also. Look kinda redneck in my opinion, but who cares. Eye bolt in the tire, and I keep a special chain with heavy carabeaners (however you spell that) on both ends in the truck. When I move paddocks only takes seconds to move it.
