Our program to date has produced more heifers than bulls. Our co-senior herd sire, "Jet Black Phantom", has a 71% record of sireing heifers. What few bull calves we end up with are "liquidated" via 3 outlets: (1) LH breeding sires, (2) Commercial X-breeding sire, and (3) Freezer beef or sale barn "steers". Our excess bulls are usually sold each year by late Spring.

Our overall program is directed toward: (1) "Beef" animals, (2) Horned animals, (3) "Beef" + Horn, and (4) Color patterns. We are proud of the BCS and Frame Scores of our Longhorns...definitely not the "historic rangy looking LH's". 90-95% of our heifers are "keepers" and it's not unusual for us to get a contract for sale for one of our heifers before it's weaned, sometimes as early as 1 month old, for delivery after weaning. With our nation-wide customer base, we have had very good results in marketing our different "LH Types"...everyone's program and/or needs is different.

Y'all are welcome to visit our website to see our animals. Then, you can judge for yourself as to their quality. Rather than spending outrageous prices for sires & dams, we look for genetics and offspring as indicators of what WE can create via our "mix and match" breeding program (have 3 different types of herd sires). Yes, we have spent some good $$ for our key breeding stock, but not those "inflated" auction prices at some of the "status-seeking" people's bids. (We don't have to "have it all, right now"...lol).
