The witness only saw Booth jump down from the balcony and break his leg. The witness, 5 years old at the time, knowing not of the shooting of the President was only concerned and frightened that Booth had fallen from the balcony and hurt his leg.
Truly believe Booth was the patsy for northern interest,Deepsouth":3hevbi83 said:This is political

Lincoln sucks had the stupid democrats not fractured into running a northern, southern and a guy out of Ky against him he would have never snuck in and started that war of northern aggression.Bestoutwest":316o6hzj said:ga.prime":316o6hzj said:Interestingly, (to me only by all means), just last week I watched a clip from the old game show "I've Got a Secret" where the contestant's secret was that he was in the audience at the Ford Theater when the assassination occurred. Wild, they must have been pretty old by the time they were on the show. I got to thinking about this some more last night and I was wondering if Booth is revered as a hero to the south? Living my whole life above the Mason-Dixon line, I have no idea how you southerners feel, but we always looked at him like a villain b/c he had killed our 'heroic' president. As I'm sure you're all aware, those of us from the northern part of the country are raised to think of Lincoln as 'the best President.'

That's the beauty of our republic. We are not limited to two parties especially when one of them is a bunch of worthless southern democrats. States had already seceded before Lincoln was inaugurated and were already promoting and preparing for war.Caustic Burno":2lrgah80 said:Lincoln sucks had the stupid democrats not fractured into running a northern, southern and a guy out of Ky against him he would have never snuck in and started that war of northern aggression.Bestoutwest":2lrgah80 said:ga.prime":2lrgah80 said:Interestingly, (to me only by all means), just last week I watched a clip from the old game show "I've Got a Secret" where the contestant's secret was that he was in the audience at the Ford Theater when the assassination occurred. Most of the northern dems switched after the war while the south strongly entrenched in conservative democrats.TennesseeTuxedo":2k96ytug said:I'm a Republican today but I expect I would have been a Democrat in those days.
