Honest assessment of an epd

Thanks for all the great responses. I appreciate the explaining of the milk epd. I know they are just one tool that you use to make your selection but I do think they give you a general direction an animals genetics should take you if properly managed. I always figure the really high epds will fall a little short but again I use them more as a general direction not a gospel.

I have learned you can starve out good genetics but you can't feed them genetics. Potential for performance has to exist to achieve it.
