new to all this.have some pedigree horned herefords plus bull. have been offered some polled hefiers. if i put my bull with them what will the calves be classed as, horned or polled
ok your saying you have some reg horned hereford cows an reg horned hereford bull.an you have a chance to buy some reg polled hereford heifers an breed to your bull.when the calves from that mating are born.they could be reg as horned polled or scurred.you would just have wait an see how meny grow horns.
the q you have to answer for yourself is this.are the heifers bloodlines good enough to breed to my reg horned hereford bull.an will the resulting calf have the desired qualities an bloodlines that im breeding for.personally i have no prob mixing polled an horned genetics.
