Have had an unusual amount of heifer calves coming into heat this summer while still on the cow. These calves range in the 150 day range right now. Have been breeding for optimal females for several years, and wonder if breeding for functional female traits has increased early puberty. I know it can be a multitude of things. Just wondered what some of you might have to say?
