Often wonder how I ever had the time to work for a paycheck...

I know how I did. Worked lots more than 40 hrs/week and way more than 12 hrs/day.
Only now, has that changed.

All my employed life I wondered what the 40 hr. per week folks did with all their spare time.

When i retired i envisioned lots of taking it easy, fishing and hunting. Other than a few hours on Sunday i work every day.

I always figured "When I retire" meant a six foot hole and my kids crying.

I'm new to the wagyu, but my brothers and I have akaushis and they grow slower than angus/brangus/etc. The F1s grow well though.

How do you finish them?

We are currently experimenting on that. My brother setup a feed lot on his ranch and we are feeding them out till they get to 1200-1400. They get fed 6 times a day with an automatic feeder with access to hay and water. He did a full blood bull early this year that he fed for a month and it was extremely good and tender but not marbled. It was grass fed otherwise. Also only about 800 lbs. Over two and a half months that my f1s were in the feed lot, they gained about 340 lbs. The pure only about 200.
