got carried away ordering seeds

don't know what I was thinking - I ordered 2 1/4 pound packages of sunflower seed
gonna have to plow up a few acres to plant all of that :lol: :lol: :lol:
oh well - should keep the neighborhood birds happy - perhaps Mrs. Caustic's cowbirds will come here and leave her birdies alone

But think of all the bright yellow sunshiney plants you will have! They're such fun to grow. A few years ago, I saved some sunflower "pies," as I call them, to dry out so I could get all the seeds. A couple of weeks later, I found a dead raccoon near where I'd stashed them. I think the raccoon must have eaten himself to death on them because they were all trashed.
