3.5 years ago I bought a complete superduty cab and front clip, complete with leather interior for $900. Called the same guy up to get another and now he gets $4000, and has a waiting list...

I've been fixing vehicle and equipment all my life. What I used to do for 1k bucks is now 3k.

These days a rusty crusty tailgate will cost over 500 bucks. A good clean one can run upwards of 1k.

There is a place in the next town, that puts a service shell on pickups for Ga Power, phone company, cable company, etc. It is tall enough to stand up in, and on back were the tailgate was is a walk in door. All of these companies use white trucks, some Ford, some Dodge, some GMC/Chevy. They have a ton of new, white tailgates, and sold them for $150, when I bought my last one in 2012. I think now they get $250. Worked out good for me, because I only buy white trucks.
