I'm baking a ham today. Hubby does not like sweet stuff on meats, doesn't like sweet & sour anything. He's more the brown mustard and vinegar type. Anyone have a good and simple recipe?
It doesn't really -- just looking to do something a little different.1982vett":yhz495q9 said:So why does the ham need sauce? .... Kind of like putting A1 on a steak....
Lol...need to send Jogee a slice for his sandwich.Kathie in Thorp":4e9um48g said:It doesn't really -- just looking to do something a little different.1982vett":4e9um48g said:So why does the ham need sauce? .... Kind of like putting A1 on a steak....
I'm sure the ham Jo cures himself is way better than my Safeway ham! Still, it was pretty good.1982vett":xq997mtv said:Lol...need to send Jogee a slice for his sandwich.Kathie in Thorp":xq997mtv said:It doesn't really -- just looking to do something a little different.1982vett":xq997mtv said:So why does the ham need sauce? .... Looks like Jogee used some cheap white bread so I'd bet the Safeway ham would be good enough. Don't want to outshine the tomatoes.Kathie in Thorp":1j0q7t4t said:I'm sure the ham Jo cures himself is way better than my Safeway ham! Kathie, my own recipe so I usually don't really measure ingredients - these are estimates
3 Tsp Horseradish
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
3 Tsp dry Coleman's mustard
2 tsp Wholegrain mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup wine vinegar
Black Pepper
Mix all together and spread liberally on ham
