Wife has been making hot wings in the air fryer and it's good but we're using Texas Pete as the sauce. It's not bad hot sauce (though not exactly hot) but it's too thin. Doesn't stick to the wing other than a thin layer.

Any recommendations?

Frank's Redhot Buffalo Wing Sauce.
I am not a fan of 'hot' Buffalo Wing sauces.
But, I absolutely love Frank's Red-Hot Stingin' Honey Garlic Sauce.
It is neither red hot nor stingin'. I'd describe it as sweet and mild.
But it's also thin and may not be the type of wing sauce you're looking for.

A pretty easy upgrade to any commercial sauce is to add butter and roasted garlic (powdered garlic will do, but roasted is better).
1 1/3 cup of hot sauce (Franks or some other)
1 cup melted unsalted butter
2 teaspoons of roasted garlic (powdered or granulated will do).
That's it.

Also, some of that malted vinegar like the British use on their fish is good on wings too with a bit of salt for a change.

That is it right there.

You can vary that using any hot sauce or adding other ingredients. Butter is the key

Thanks all,
Going to try Franks hot sauce with butter & garlic tonight.

Yes, thin is my major issue. I have some hot sauce from Costa Rica that may as well be called "Screaming Napalm Death" that I can use to add heat but the flavor is positively horrid.

Just add a little Carolina Reaper.
