Ollie,
He had a 47" hip height at 7 mos. which should put him at a 6+ frame. His dam's a 1400 lb solid red cow with a 55" hip height. She's a '98 model with a nice udder and teats.
This calf had a 101 lb BW, 695 205 day (no creep), and 1178 YW.
I'll list his EPD's, with the breed averages in parentheses.
CE+0.3 (+0.2), DTRS+0.4 (+0.1), BW+1.9 (+1.8), WW+26 (+14), YW +30 (+22).
I wish his actual BW had been lower, but it is what it is. I take my weights with a digital scale as I was afraid I might have a tendency to pull the tape extra tight. I select replacements with calving ease as top priority. If I have to help a 2nd calf heifer presenting normally, she goes to town.
