A good buddy of mine has a nurse cow he's taken calves off of, and he continues to milk her. He's dumping a lot of it. Could we freeze it for future use? I've got a big deep freeze sitting idle in the garage now, so I've got the space.
not sure if frrezing and thawing would damage the nutrition or not?
Any info would be helpful! Thanks

We freeze all our extra milk.

Now don't choke or anything but we milk, sheep and goats too!

Put it in clean glass jars, don't fill it all the way. put lid on loosely.
Put in coldest part of freeezers.
I use old honey jars that I save. They never break.
I assume its raw milk. When you set it out to thaw. I just leave it out over night.

If you want to clabber it for cheese. It will still work if it has been frozen.
Just put it someplace warm till it sours. 12 to 24 hours.

I don't know about the pasturized milk. I think it might go bad if you didn't thaw in the refrigerator

A little off subject, but I had a guy tell me once that it was so cold outside that when he milked his cows, he just squirted it across his arm and toted it in the house like cord wood.
