this calves hair is like a rock were it is matted up it is just on his upper back and forehead... could this be some kinda worms, we have wormed him 2 times but maybe the wormer we used didnt cover what he has i dont know..he just looks bad and if you pull on it it comes off like a scab...he has been running with 5 other calves and there isnt nothing wrong with them if anyone could suggest something it would be greatly appreciated.....

Possibly lice? Have you used a pour on wormer?

sounds a little like mange to me, careful you don't get it. again , used motor oil will kill almost any skin condition.

Did you use a "pour-on" dewormer? If so, the product might have "scalded" the skin. This makes the hair matt & fall out. It will grow back if this is the case. If you didn't use a pour-on, I agree may be lice/mange.
