Fishing with the ladies

Doing a little fishing tonight and some of the girls decided to grace us with their presence. A mix of bred heifers due the first of September and some virgin that will be bred in November.

Yes it is, we have had some decent rains lately. And yes 26 of those aren't a year old yet and 12 are expecting their first calves starting the end of the month.

Yes bluegill and crappie is what we were after and we managed to catch a few.

I had 5 heifers to calve this spring. One was smaller than the rest. Call her Peanut. She has the biggest, nicest calf. Peanut is catching up in size even though she is milking really well.
