For those of you that live where crawdads (crayfish) grow, heres a little trick I use for catching some fishbait pretty easily. Take some old hay plastic ( i like black b/c it isnt as showy) and kind of roll it up or wad it up and submerge it at the edge of a pond. Next time you go fishing, pull it out and unroll or shake it and collect crawdads to use as fishbait. Largemouth bass and speckled perch will tear them up! put the plastic back when you get through, it lasts for a long time.

*Note* sometimes you will shake loose the occasional eel or other such slimeys.
