True, his aim is bad and he's awkward, but it's probably his first time. It took me a while to master it too after using a sledge hammer all those years, but I finally adjusted to it. He also may be hitting the post with the hollow end instead of the solid end. I never figured out what the hollow end was for, but I do fairly well now.

I welded a sledge hammer on the end of mine. Adds weight and, well also serves as a sledge hammer when needed.
