No, pink eyelids is very much unwanted and tends to get irritated from the sun, if the skin is more white or cream in colour it doesn't get irritated as easily and is as good as pigmented eyelids. If it takes pigmented eyelids to end the OWT regarding herefords and pink eye, then we as breeders will do well to make pigment part of our selection criteria. The important part is still the eyeset, eyebrows and eyelashes, but we've got to start listening to what the commercial bull buyer wants if we want to be a major roleplayer again.
