Experience with these bulls??

Help Support CattleToday:

EXT is a very influential bull in the angus breed for several years, super udders and some say questionable docility.

Great moderate framed sire of udders and maternal qualities- that will raise cattle that can function in real life range conditions---- but I like to keep him 2-3 generations back in a pedigree just because of the docility-- which he inherited from his double bred sire- Emulation 31...

EXT is one of those sires that just works, it didn't matter what you bred him to it would be pretty good. That in my opinion makes a great sire, his son Right Time was super good and the list goes on and on. Major influence in the Angus breed, EXT could give you some attitude so that was the only negative.

I have a EXT son as well as a Cortachy Boy son http://genex.crinet.com/beef/index.php? ... 50&lang=EN coming from my partner this fall. They look real good right now. I will be using them over our line bred cattle that go back to some good Ankony cows my father bought at their dispersal. Jipsey Earl sons coming next year http://genex.crinet.com/beef/index.php? ... 51&lang=EN . I think you are on the right track.
I like those scottish bulls real well...

I agree. If I had any Fullblood GV cows I would AI a couple to one of the Scottish Angus just to see what you could get with maximum heterosis. Fullblood to Fullblood.

Ok guys im sorry. I misunderstood. The bulls I saw were grandsons of Connealy Onward and great grandsons of Emulation EXT. I got mixed up. They are actually out of EXAR Onward 682. There were three bulls. They all had the same sire, but different dams. They had pretty good epd's and good pedigrees.

I have two Jipsey Earle heifers this year and i am liking them.
will take weaning weights in april.
but neither one of them is leaving here as long as i can afford to feed em....at least not in the short term....
