Peanuts are high in protein and healthy fats. They make a great substitute for soy in feed rations. We love the fact that there is no such thing as GMO peanuts. We feed peanuts to our chickens, ducks, geese, hogs and sheep. If you don't have acorns to finish your hogs on peanuts make a great substitute. Our feed peanuts are a mix of peanut hearts and small peanuts fresh from the mill. $25 for 50lbs - call Dunreath Farm - show contact info

Interesting peanut info:

I had a friend feed SW airlines peanuts to a hog one year.. He tasted like PNuts no matter how much Barbq sauce you put on him....:/

When good 16% feed is just $5 per 50 lb why take a chance. For years we bought peanuts from Lance company that the date had ran out on the package. We fed them to the squirrels.

5 ton will be delivered into my feed bin sometime tonight or in the morning. At $200 a ton thats $5 per 50 lb. I can get 12 or 14% even cheaper.

man you aint lying corey. I cant buy my feed that cheap and its 9% on a good day. typically around 7. and I do the truckin

I'm not a meat scientist, but I've read that the lipid profile of peanuts would make for pork fat that's soft, and doesn't 'set up' well. You'd have to feed some corn or something right at the tail end of the feeding period. Don't have any knowledge of what it'd do for cows - though they're probably a pretty good protein and fat source...not sure I'd go for 'em at that price...

It's relative to your location. It's not the state its them rich south Florida folks that don't care what it cost. The price is what the market will bear. People are paying it so it doesn't go down.

I can ground ear corn for a lot less even with some additatives. But its in the bag and I dont have any way to get it into the upright bin.

not growing much corn here..truckin kills alotta stuff we don't grow cuz of the heat. corn don't keep well in this humidity either
