Dehorning infection

I just bought a heifer, brought her home and noticed that where she was dehorned it is infected. It has been cleaned out and resprayed with that silver bandaid. But I can see yellow under the silver and smell it.

The breeder said that flys laid eggs in the wounds and she had maggots yesterday. I will probably call the vet in the morning.

Any thoughts on what I should do?

Dump hydrogen peroxide into the wound each day to flush it and keep sprayed down with fly spray.
