I am so slow - another apostophe person!

Had a real good chuckle - very funny.

Add in a little horse poetry?

<<<<<<<City Slicker>>>>>>>

I arrived at the ranch on a brisk fall morn'
And picked out Clyde,a trusty ole steed.
The look in his eye spoke of calm and cool,
And today there was no need for speed.

I had never ridden a horse of his stature
Only one as a child at the fair.
But have dreamed of this day away from the city,
In the mountains, without worry or care.

We mounted and began our half day's venture,
Up to the mountains we started.
Only an hour up in the saddle
And ,oh, how my rump quickly smarted!!

Just as the mountain we started to crest,
That's when the day started south.
Up from the grass roared a little sage hen
Clyde feared it a cougar's pounce.

Down the mountain we flew like the wind
my whoa's, they fell on deaf ear.
Clyde was focused on his speedy getaway
and not on where I wanted to steer.

Looking ahead, a highway approaching,
Clyde planted all fours as he halted..
I was less fortunate than trusty steed Clyde,
When over his head I vaulted.

First one I see as I awake from this ordeal,
is the Foreman, a puncher of cattle.
I quickly informed him no sound it did make,
as I laid on the HORN on the saddle!!!!
