What would make a healthy 1 Month old Calf just die? If the Calf was struck by lightning would there be burn marks on the body? I am stumped this calf was purfect until today and just dead. I am bummed and so is Momma cow. appreciate any info anyone could give me
i had a calf mysteriously die once.couldnt figure out why untill i noticed my tractor nearby was leaking anti-freeze. check for anything that might have poisoned him
There are many reasons for sudden death of calves. Could have gotten a twisted gut, could have had an absess that burst, could have gotten over-eating disease. Part of raising cattle - some can be avoided by vaccinations. Maybe you should have had an autopsy - for future preventative tactics. Jeanne
