We have 10 cows down now. We think they could have been exposed to runoff from city sewer. We have one cow's that's died, we've called the vet. The vet's ran test unsure of what's going on. ANY IDEAS????? all of this cows are pregnant and we'd like to save them if possible

Fence off the area where sewage runoff is. Give them clean water via metal or plastic stock tanks. Could be toxic chemicals in the sewage runoff...people dump all sorts of S*** down sink, toilet, etc.

Keep in touch with the Vet.

Don't know where you are,but if you have one ,get your health department or somebody out there to test the water. They should be able to tell you what is in it. They will not look kindly on the city for that, may be able to help you recover some of your losses if you find out that's what it is. Keep good records of what has happened when and what you did about it. Meantime, Bill is right, make sure they can't have access to any more of that water.

Complete post mortem - spend the money - then and only then will you know.

Ater that, you also have a legal leg if it is something from the run off.

Otherwise it is all speculation.
