Dead calves found laying on their side with legs extended out in front and behind them at unusual from normal angles, head over their shoulders? If you have actually seen one die, did it kick and vocalize(almost cry) in pain? If this sounds familiar, it is C&D claustridim perfringens, one of the blackleg bugs. I have heard of it several times locally when it is wet in the spring. Revaccinate the cows for blackleg so they will have protective claustrium, vaccinated calves as soon as possible. If this doesn't sound likely, give more details.
