Calves and minerals

I've got a group of 200-300lb calves (still on mommas) that have fallen in love with the minerals I have out (vigortone 3v5s). They come in with their mommas at feeding time everyday, and while moms are eating, the calves eat minerals. 10 calves will consume almost a gallon daily. The mommas don't go through nearly that much. Is this something to be concerned about? It's been going on like this for about 3 weeks

Unless its a molasses based product i wouldn't be concerned. Maybe going out the back end but shouldn't hurt them.

In my experience, calves will hammer some salt and mineral.
