I have the Little Buddy Heater and it works good. I have the hose connection for the big propane tank. I use it at our deer lease cabin a lot. Came in handy during the big freeze last February when Texas lost power. It goes through the small propane bottles pretty quickly when you have it on the high setting though.
They work pretty well there is not much downside to them. Like EasTex said, get the hose so you can use the tanks as well as the bottles.
Don't have that big one but have a pile of the smaller ones. We keep one in all the blinds with a few bottles.

One reason I ask I bought one for $20 used in non working condition and was wondering if it was even worth fixing. Well $29 in parts and it seems to work good, even the fan. The guy said he heated his small house a lot with it and then got one to hang on the wall after this one quit working. Just testing in the picture as the tank needs outside. I figured it would be a 15 minute repair job, but this thing is over engineered and not easy to unassembled/reassemble as it looked like somebody had already tried.

What are those parts JL?

The heater has 3 setting 4000 btu, 9000 btu and 18000 btu. You can use two at a time the little propane cylinders as one mounts on each side.
