I wonder how long it took them to cut through one of those. That's just mind blowing every time I see it.Here is one that has been a few years since it was cut. They had strong mules and big sawmills then.

We were on Vancouver Island, this little park is called Cathedral Grove, north of Nanaimo. The biggest cedar I fell was over 13 feet on the butt. The biggest Doug Fir was 10' 8" inside the bark and I think it had about 12 inches of bark. Where are you at? Those are some pretty nice sticks.

Love it.The wife and I in front of a big fir (about 9 foot) in the big tree grove Lake Quinault. If I had taken the picture looking from the right side there are three of these big pumpkins lined up side by side. The summer of 2015 before we got married. I took her on a date to see big trees. Isn't that romantic?

How old ya reckon trees like that are?The biggest cedar I fell was over 13 feet on the butt. The biggest Doug Fir was 10' 8" inside the bark and I think it had about 12 inches of bark. Where are you at? Those are some pretty nice sticks.
They sure didn't pay me to stand there and count rings. I have seen some displayed where they did count. 1,500 years give or take a century or two.How old ya reckon trees like that are?
Or were?
I can't imagine a cedar that big!

Wow that is huge! This is my son inside a California Redwood just outside the High Sierras.
