Beet pulp wet or dry?

Help Support CattleToday:

Feed it wet! Soak in a covreed container to prevent flies from laying eggs in it. A few hours is good. Or less if using warm water.

Feeding it wet adds bulk via water.

Feeding wet lets more of the sugars become available, and if soaked for 12 or more hours starts it to firmenting.

Feeding it wet increases the palatability.

Beet pulp is great for feeding to show cattle as it adds bulk and fills them out more with out the hay belly result of feeding bulky hay, but leaves the animal full and satisfied.
