A cow having triplets is uncommon, but not for one in northern Arkansas. Faith the cow has given birth to her third set of triplets. She's also delivered four sets of twins. Only once has Faith had one calf.

The eight-year-old Charolais mix cow lives at Cedar Creek Ranch and Cattle Company, a sprawling ranch between Harriet and Big Flat. Jenny Williams, Faith's owner, says the 12-hundred pound cow grew to more than 15-hundred pounds before the most recent triplets birth.

She said last month's triplets are almost the size of single birth calves. Williams says Faith usually dotes on the last calf born in each set. She said Faith doesn't want the other two -- for a while.

ok, guys (& gals), if you think about it, a cow is 8 until she's nine.

i'm counting 8 births (3 sets of triplets, 4 sets of twins, 1 single)

birth #1 right before she turned 2
birth #2 right before she turned 3
birth #3 right before she turned 4
birth #4 right before she turned 5
birth #5 right before she turned 6
birth #6 right before she turned 7
birth #7 right before she turned 8
birth #8 right before she turned 9

she didn't have to start when she was zero or even have them 10 mos apart.

i'm not saying it's true, but it is possible.
