Anyone have an IH 510 Drill?

Anyone here have an IH 510 or maybe even a 5100 grain drill? I borrowed one from a neighbor. Probably gonna buy it. Have two questions.

1) On the rate setting lever.... I don't see a notch or indicatoror arrow or whatever. Im assuming you line the center of the lever up with the number you wish to set it on. Is this correct?

2) Seed chart on the lid says to verify that I have the 7 point gear and not the 14 because the seeding rate will need to be cut in half with the 14. Which gear is this referring to?

No manual and can't find one free online. Don't have time to order one. Any help will be appreciated.
