Anyone ever built a bale elevator?

I've been looking for a used bale elevator for the last year and all that I have found go for $500+. I'm considering building a 16 to 20 foot one, but would like a set of plans or someone to give me a little input.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Never had one of those elevators, we always had to use the old two arm lifting method. :nod:

Cheaper option. Find an old corn elevator. It's a little bigger, but you can pick them up at farm auctions pretty cheap. thye are just wide enough for a bale to sit on it's edge. usually PTO powered though.
