Let's look at her udder month out from now...
When squirt is taking in more. :)

The fullness will go down some but the poor udder will always be there and a good chance the offspring will have the same poor udder. For what it's worth she has a pretty head. Otherwise she's just a big cow that would bring a lot of money by the pound. Inyati likes her so he needs to keep her. I wouldn't.

I would like to see a rear view pic so that I could see how the udder is attached in the back and what it looks like from the rear. I am curious.

Back to the original subject.

I like glacerridge's brother's description about "filling out his pants". inyati13, your bull has no inside gaskin muscle. I bet that he stands base narrow in the rear. When you go shopping for a bull, please remember that the bull may have amazing EPDs, however he must be a good individual himself. When you look at a bull from the rear, be sure that he is long through the twist with good muscling inside his gaskin and outside through his stifle. He should look square like a box. Not wide at the hips and narrow through the stifle like your bull.
A good young bull will exhibit the muscle that is desired.

I need to keep her. There are always other factors that are not so obvious. I am currently understocked. The University of Kentucky forage specialist have been to my farm. They don't hesitate to tell me I am understocked and my pasture needs more pressure. So right now is not a time to sell cattle. It is time to acquire it. Later, I hope to be where I can seclect and cull. This cow is with her third calf. i just sold a weaned calf off her that was 8 months on her and 1 month in weaning. It weighed 770 pounds and brought $990. She bred back right on 40 days. She has had no problems calving and is easy to handle. Plus, she is not hard to look at. I got more forage than I need at the current time. Not hard to decide to keep here.

Ken you should stop asking others what they think. Sell your bull or keep your bull. Sell the cow or keep your cow. Who cares. It's your money, not ours.

The opinions expressed here are worth exactly what you paid for them.

I was looking at some calves last weekend and took a couple shots of this 3 year old cleanup bull, he is an Irish Wiskey (Main) and Simmy, the baldy bull calf is his full brother, he is the bull directly behind the baldy calf, the bull has a butt on him.
