Finally got down to reading my January Canadian Cattleman and was reading an article on the CFIA wanting mandatory age verification. Cargill has anounced they'll pay $8.00 a head extra for age-verified cattle.
We age-verified our calves last fall for auction. We figured if there was a chance of getting more money we'd do it. This looks like the kind of thing that will get more people doing it. Just thought I'd let you all know if you hadn't heard.
