Recently bought a JD4650 that has new duals on the back. Currently they are spaced for row crop planting. We will only be using the tractor for pasture tillage. Is there any harm in adjusting the outside duals closer to the inside tires? Is there any advantages to leaving them where they currently are? Thanks

you can set them wherever you want. just make sure that the bottom bulges on the tires do not rub each other. keep in mind that they will have a bigger bulge if underinflated and heavy load situations.

Two advanrages to the wider spacing is less likely to pack them full of mud and easier to clean out when it happens also less chance of getting a rock wedged between the two tires.

That's why we never had anything with hub duals.
