Don't see either much anymore 32 special was hotter than the 32-40.
The 32-40 was a little under the 30-30 ran about 1800 fps.

I haven't checked lately for any cartridges. I bought the gun last year and found 2 boxes locally shot it one time and put it up. I need to find some more ammo so I shoot it more.

I make my 32-40 brass by re sizing 30-30 the 32 bullet is an 8mm bullet there are ton's to choose from.
You can also use 38-55 brass you just have to trim it after re sizing.
