2022 babies

Look but don't touch ! Only cow that I don't tag her baby till they go through the chute . We've kept 2 heifers from her and both are cool as the underside of the pillow . High pockets as we call her takes care of her babies !

I give her a wide berth for about 2 weeks . Last year I got a little close for her liking and I thought she was getting in the Polaris with me .

Afternoon find , bull out of the baldie momma . She is a real milk wagon and half sister to the twins momma.

Wish it was a daughter , another bill payer / bull calf. I worry about her and her bag . I think she has had 4-5 calves . Don't think she will be one that can go for 10-12 calves

I had a Simangus cow with an udder just like that. Last calf was a little heifer who couldn't latch on to those wide teats. You hate it when they've been a good calf raiser, but You're right they won't go the distance.

Just the pic , right after that pic I tagged him and looked him over good .

Another heifer calved this morning, odd place for her to be but she is a heifer ! Went back later to tag her heifer calf to find baby on one side of webwire fence and mom on the other . Then late this evening I found them in the same predicament, just a different pasture. Hopefully I got that fixed ! And with all that this is the only picture I got .

Better pic today of the last baby . I would take one like this out of all my heifers !

First calf heifer out of my sons black Brahma, High Pockets . Only tiger stripe on our farm . We intend to take the horns off her or at least shorten them . She is a monster for a 2 year old ! She has had me on heifer watch for a month . Her vulva has been enlarged like she was ready to calve any minute. Her Bag would be full one day and down the next . I almost was afraid she had slipped her calf . But look what I found the day after Mother's Day .
